Tetrasolv has extensive experience in the manufacture of systems for PFAS removal. We can provide vessels, media, and reactivation services for PFAS applications – which makes us unique in the industry. Please see below examples of a few of our installations.
PFAS Potable Water Treatment
PROJECT: BARNSTABLE, MA
- Installed in 2020
- 1,000 gpm
- Operated by Veolia
- Two sites with PFAS
- Each site has 2 x 20,000 lb Dual-Bed GAC system
- Piping and manifold included in installation
- Units installed to remove PFAS from potable water systems
PFAS Potable Water Treatment
PROJECT: POOLSVILLE, MD
- PFAS detected in multiple town wells in 2022
- Test project initiated under close supervision from Maryland Department of Environment
- May 2023 – Rented dual HPAF-3000 system for Well #3 to treat 70 gpm with Norit GAC 400
- Initial PFOA concentration – 11.7 ppt
- November 2023 – Lead vessel changed out when measurable PFOA was detected (<1 ppt)
- Rental system was purchased by Poolesville in November 2023
- A second system (dual HPAF-5000) has been ordered for installation in May 2024.
PFAS Pond Remediation Project
PROJECT: MARENGO, IA
- Spring 2023 – Fire at Biodiesel plant resulted in AFFF contamination of stormwater basin feeding Iowa river
- Partnered with Rain-for-Rent to execute pond remediation
- PFOA – 37ppt / PFOS – 4.8ppt
- 12.9 M gallons treated – 600 gpm
- Tetrasolv provided 4 x HPAF 10,000 units filled with GAC. System operated with 2 trains of lead/lag filters in series (300 gpm each)
- Project was successful to treat PFOA/PFOS to Non-Detect levels
